Obituary of Bonnie Turrentine

Turrentine, Bonnie N. Born November 30, 1927 in Upland, NE and died September 15, 2017 in Minneapolis. She grew up in Kearney, NE the youngest of six children. On April 7, 1946, Bonnie married Edgar M. Turrentine, whose career took them to four states before settling in Minneapolis in 1967. Bonnie worked in the Hennepin County Child Support unit, was active in League of Women Voters and volunteered with a number of nonprofits. Preceded in death by husband, Edgar; daughter, Cynthia Daly; sisters, brothers and their spouses. Survived by daughter, Jennifer; son Timothy (Kerry); grandchildren Nicholas Daly; Samuel (Michele) Turrentine; Maxwell (Amber) Turrentine; Timothy Daly; great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Henry Turrentine. Also survived by sister-in-law JoAnn Turrentine and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on September 26, 2017, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota – Edina. Visitation, 3 p.m. Service, 4 p.m. Private interment at Fort Snelling. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to League of Women Voters Minneapolis or Regions Hospital Foundation – Hospice Hope Fund.
