Obituary of Robert Fred Huttel

Robert Huttel, 90, of Hermantown, passed away Thursday, September 15th,at Golden Oaks in Proctor, MN. He was born March 1st, 1927, to Fred and Amelia Huttel in Duluth. Bob was employed as a machinist for Northern Pacific Railroad and Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a WWII veteran. Bob owned and operated Huttel House Moving and was a Golden Gloves boxing champion. He enjoyed playing cribbage and spending time with his grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Marlys in 2012, daughter Nancy Niemi; sisters, Margaret and Marion, brother, Fred Sr. He is survived by his daughters Diane Witchall (Michael Matara), Barb (Bob) Struck, Deborah (Paul) Reinier; grandchildren Kara, Kasey, Seth, Alex, Jaime, Jennifer, Jake; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Larry. A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 21st at 3:00 pm at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, with a visitation one hour prior.
