Obituary of Audrey Mae Espointour

Audrey Mae Espointour was born February 9, 1941, to Irvin and Hannah Plaisted in Bruno, MN, the youngest of five children. Audrey attended school in Bruno and Askov, graduating in 1958. She married Maurice Espointour in January 1960 and they had one daughter, Jill. Maurice and Audrey lived in the Askov area until they moved permanently to Mesa, Arizona, in 1999. They loved being grandparents and made time to enjoy the children both in Minnesota and Arizona. Maurice died in July 2010, changing Audrey's life forever. Audrey lived life to the fullest until she became ill in 2017. She moved to Duluth to live with her daughter at the end of August and died September 21, 2017, at the Solvay Hospice House surrounded by family. Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Maurice, and three siblings. Audrey is survived by her daughter, Jill (John) Thomas of Duluth; grandson, Ryan Thomas(Sarah Johnson)of Hermantown; granddaughter, Heather (Jamie) Johnsen of Superior; granddaughter, Beth Thomas (Tanner Foucault)of Scanlon; great-grandchildren Jackson and Clara Thomas, Lexi and Nick Johnsen, and Abby Foucault; one brother, many nephews and nieces and two sisters-in-law. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 11:00 am in Askov, MN, at the community center.
