Obituary of Carl R. Andrews

Carl R. Andrews, age 70, of Solon Springs, formerly of Superior passed away peacefully at home Friday, September 22, 2017, with his loving wife at his side. He was born October 7, 1946 in Superior to Albert and Mayme Andrews. On July 1, 1966 Carl married Shirley M. Kakko. He worked for the #1050 Labor Union for many years and enjoyed playing cribbage, watching the Minnesota Vikings and working on cars. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Al, Victor and Raleigh. Carl is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley; children, Carl (Lisa) Andrews of Duluth, Shane (Bonnie) Andrews of Superior and Kimberly (Rene) DeBeir of Duluth; seven grandchildren, Garett, Jadalee, William, Benjamin, Addison, Clifford and Aaron; two great-grandchildren, Morrison and Marlee; three brothers, Ray of TX, James (Joan) of Oliver, WI and Louis (Ellie) of Superior; cousins and best friends, Victor Sajec and Tom Milinkovich; former son-in-law, Cliff Krueger; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Gathering of family and friends from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service Saturday, Sept. 30th in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, 218-624-5200.
