Obituary of Gerald Oys

Oys, Gerald Raymond Age 76, of Monticello, MN, passed away September 27, 2017 of lung disease. Jerry was born February 1, 1941 in Minneapolis. He was a 1959 graduate of Minneapolis Central High School and attended Dunwoody Institute. He spent his career as a welder at Vid Metal Products and Marksman Metals before retiring in 2003. On November 17, 1962 Jerry was united in marriage to Donna Kjono and they raised two sons, Jonathan and Christopher. The family moved to Monticello in 1979. Jerry was a friend to many and dedicated his life in service to others. Preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Inez Oys, and two brothers. Jerry will be greatly missed and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna; sons, Jonathan and Christopher; and faithful dog, Blu. The family wishes to thank the terrific staff of the Allina Hospice Program for the wonderful care they provided Jerry. A memorial service will be held in July, 2018.
