Obituary of Barbara Ann Palkki

Barbara Ann Palkki, 63, of South Range, passed away Sep. 28th at St. Luke's Hospital after a battle with cancer. She married her high school sweetheart, James Palkki, on July 22, 1972. She worked at Labovitz Enterprises as an Office Administrator. Barbara's mind and heart were a compass needle and a model for wise direction for everyone. No matter what task she did, no one doubted it would be done with the intelligence and precision that others can hope to aspire to. With sage wisdom, Barbara could relate to anyone because she never ceased learning and studying. Barbara liked reading books, watching horror movies, jeep rides, and snuggling with her cats. She looked at life with hope, that things can be better, and she made sure to begin that process in herself. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael Golfis. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James Palkki; son Brian (Amy) Palkki, 3 grandchildren: Sylina, Tuvya, Priya; 4 brothers: Michael Marx, Alan Golfis, Steve Golfis and Tom Golfis.
