Obituary of Raleigh Sawyer

Raleigh "Tex" Sawyer, loving husband, father and grandfather, age 73 of Duluth, MN passed away Thursday October 5th 2017. He was born August 1st 1944 to Raleigh and Norma Allen, raised by Stanley and Norma Sawyer. He served the Duluth Transit Authority for 30 years. He enjoyed his retirement tinkering in the garage, feeding the deer, spending time at the hunting shack and showering his grandchildren with love. He will be remembered for his sarcasm, storytelling and dry sense of humor. Tex is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marsha. Children; Dennis Ernst, Jaymi (Adam Bergerson) Sawyer, and Donna Sawyer. Grandchildren; Andrew, Alex, Alyssia, Emma, Zachariah, Mahalah and Laylah. Siblings; Sandra (Wayne) Fitzsimmons, Tommi Wedin and Bonnie (Rod) Paszak. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Norma Sawyer and Raleigh Allen. Per Tex's wishes, there will be no funeral services.
