Obituary of Barbara Judith Kaylor

Barbara Judith "Judy" Kaylor, 78, of Duluth Township entered into eternal peace on Monday, August 13, 2018 in her home. She was born in Duluth on May 5, 1940 to LeRoy and Svea Hamlin. Judy married Robert "Bob" Kaylor in 1965. Together they raised 3 children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She graduated in 1958 from Clover Valley High School. Judy worked at Lakeshore Lutheran Home for over 20 years. Her retirement job overseeing the afterschool program at North Shore Community School brought her many years of joy and touched the lives of many families. Judy was an active member of French River Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was part of several committees. Her absence will be felt greatest in the kitchen, where she planned and coordinated countless funeral receptions. Her compassion for others was considered a blessing for grieving families. Judy will forever be remembered for her amazing cakes that she made for all occasions. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Bob. Judy will be dearly missed by her daughter, Marie (John Patrick); sons, Ross, Tom (Katie); grandchildren, Christine (Tim) Nelson, Valerie DuPuis, Mikayla and Michael Gill, Keira and Brighton Kaylor; great-grandchildren, Alaina and Natalie Nelson. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service on Monday, August 20, 2018 at French River Lutheran Church, 5310 Ryan Rd., Duluth.
