Obituary of Diana Grace Bencriscutto

Diana Grace Bencriscutto, age 57, of Minneapolis, and longtime resident of Roseville, passed away on August 13, 2018. Proceeded in death by her parents, Frank and Jean Bencriscutto; grandchild Orion; and nieces Sarah and Victoria. Diana was a professional dancer and musician who loved to sing and share her passion for music with others; she was known in her community for her warm and generous spirit. A proud alumnus of the University of Minnesota, she was an enthusiastic supporter of the Golden Gophers marching band and football team. Diana expressed profound gratitude for family and was deeply rooted in her Calabrian heritage; she enjoyed helping new friends learn Italian phrases and the correct pronunciation of her last name. ‘Grandma Ben’ will forever be remembered by those who knew her. She is survived by her partner, Erik; daughters, Sarah (Sheila) Amado and Leslie (Travis) Moore; grandchild, Zochi; sister, Kim; nieces, nephews and countless cousins. To our beloved ancestor: “I love you in a place where there’s no space or time. I love you for in my life you are a friend of mine, and when my life is over, remember when we were together, we were alone and I was singing this song for you.” Memorials may be donated to the National Eating Disorders Association or The Emily Program Foundation.
