Obituary of Dorothy Lee Buhl

Age 87 of Mora, MN Died peacefully at home on Friday, November 4, 2022.

Dorothy was born in Topeka, Kansas on December 3, 1934. After HS graduation, she moved to San Francisco, CA to attend nursing school where she met her husband George and married in 1956. In 1961, they moved to St. Paul, MN where Dorothy worked as a nurse anesthetist at Gillette Children's Hospital until she retired in 1994. In 2001, they moved to Mission, Texas where they enjoyed their years of retirement together. Dorothy enjoyed reading, karaoke, traveling and spending time at the lake.

She is preceded in death by her husband George U. Buhl (married for 62 years), a son, Gregory Buhl, a daughter, Catherine Peloquin, a son in-law, Les Dimmen, identical twin grandsons Joe and Bryan Buhl, her parents, Bryan and Gussye Reed and a brother, Robert Reed.

Dorothy is survived by her older sister Polly Brandi; five children, Beverly Dimmen (Les Dimmen), Patty Buhl, Michael (Teresa) Buhl, Robert (Tracy) Buhl, and Peter (Jeri) Buhl; Cindy Garcia (Gregory Buhl), Tim Peloquin (Cay Peloquin); 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

On Friday, December 2, 2022, the family will hold a service in remembrance of Dorothy, beginning at 3pm at St. Pascal's Church, 1757 Conway Street Saint Paul, MN 55106.

In lieu of flowers, cards and donations, please join us immediately following the service, for a "Celebration of Life" gathering at the St. Paul American Legion, 1129 Arcade St. Saint Paul, MN 55106.
