Obituary of Thomas Bartlett

Age 51 Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Mayo Health Systems in Rochester, MN. Tom was born to John and Norena Bartlett (Johnsen) on November 30th, 1965 in Red Wing, MN. He grew up on the Bartlett family farm near Ellsworth, WI. He graduated Ellsworth Sr. High School and went on to receive an Associate’s Degree in Diesel Mechanics at Chippewa Valley Technical College. He then returned to farming with his Dad (his best friend) on the family farm until he passed away. He was known for his mechanical skills to fix anything, except the Cancer that took his life. He had a great love for his family, friends, neighbors and the Minnesota Vikings. He is survived by his daughter Alexandria (Greg) DeJong of Fuquay Varina, NC, his son Jackson Bartlett of Fayetteville, NC, his parents John and Norena, his sisters- Anna Bartlett of Denver, CO, Catherine (Caty)-(John Yurch) Bartlett of Lantana, FL, Teresa (Troy) Hanson of Lantana, FL, his close companion Annie Quam of Wanamingo, MN, his nieces and nephews-Samantha Carlstrom of Sacramento, CA, Nathaniel (Nate)-(Jackie Irwin) of Hudson, WI, Jacob (Jake) Sterny of Boulder, CO, Lucas (Luke) Sterny of Mankato, MN, Travis (Kaitlyn) Hanson of Ellsworth, WI, Crissy (Ben) Andrist of Menomonie, WI. He is proceeded in death by his brother John David Bartlett, his Grandparents Howard and Loretta Bartlett, Fritz and Ella Johnsen. A mass will be held at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ellsworth, WI on 27 October, 2017 at 1130 with visitation from 0930-1130 at the church. Attire requested by Tom was farmer casual.
