Obituary of Rachel Perry
Rachel L. Perry, 51, a resident of River Falls, Wis., died Oct. 14, 2017, at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna after a lengthy illness.
Born May 20, 1966, in Tacoma, Wash., Rachel grew up in Rochester, graduated from Mayo High School in 1984 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and Dance from UW-River Falls in 1991.
Rachel's greatest passion was dance. She previously taught ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance at Helmer Dance Studio in Beldenville and Hudson, Wis. Rachel's choreography won several awards at local, regional and national competitions.
Rachel always enjoyed the country life and loved to cook, crochet, fish, and spend time with family and friends.
Rachel is survived by her parents, Lawrence and Jody Perry; brothers, Chris (Ellie) Perry, Dana (Amy) Perry, and Ray (Alisa) Perry; sisters, Betsy (Stan Pelto) Perry, Cathy Perry, and Starr (Jim Burns) Jenkins; two nephews; four nieces; and her cat, Stache.
A celebration of Rachel's life will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 2, at Maverick's Corner Saloon, 128 N Main St, River Falls, WI.
