Obituary of Lawrence Alvin Smith

Lawrence Alvin Smith, 77, of Esko, Minnesota passed away November 15, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Larry was born October 5, 1945, to Alvin and Mary June (Sullivan) Smith in Duluth, MN.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary and his brother William.

Larry is survived by his daughter Heather (Chris) Neidermann of Marco Island, FL, son Adam (Kari) Smith of Cloquet, MN, grandson Hunter Neidermann of Stevens Point, WI, sisters Kay LeMay of Superior, WI, Eileen Pettersen, Mary Lou (Gordon) Gajeski, Patricia (Michael) Stainbrook, all of Duluth, MN, and sister-in-law Mary Smith of Brooklyn Park, MN.

Larry owned Esko Auto Body and enjoyed repairing and collecting cars over the years. He also loved being out on the water fishing and boating with family and friends.

Larry had a great sense of humor and was known for his quick wit and eye rolls. He loved his family so very much and will be greatly missed.

The funeral service will be held at The Cremation Society of Minnesota located at 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, MN on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Visitation is at 10:00 am, the service is at 11:00 am.
