Obituary of Patricia Alice Rapp

Patricia Alice (Brander) Rapp, age 86, lifetime resident of Duluth was reunited with her loving husband, Bruce Monday, October 16, 2017. Patricia was born July 14, 1931, and was the only child of her adoptive parents Carl Einer William "Bill" and Alice (Monson) Brander. A graduate of Central High School in Duluth and Catherine Gibbs College in Chicago, she was married to her beloved husband, Bruce Rapp, for 47 years until his passing in 2003. In addition to working as a legal secretary she joined her husband Bruce in their family owned business, Lakehead Auto Imports. Patricia was a voracious reader. She also loved to cook and was continually expanding her culinary skills through community education classes. She was an accomplished musician and enjoyed playing the organ at Trinity Lodge where she was very active. She belonged to Lotus Temple No. 7 Daughters of the Nile, American Business Women's Association, and Business and Professional Women/USA for many years. She was a member of the Duluth Congregational Church. She and her husband, Bruce, participated in the Proctor Community Band. She was a volunteer reader for many years at the Duluth Lighthouse for the Blind. She loved to play cards, especially cribbage, which she engaged in on a weekly basis with family and friends. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Linda), Brian, and Jennifer Rapp all of Duluth; stepson, Greg (Cindi) Rapp of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; seven grandchildren, Adam (Alyssa), Brittany, Christopher, Kayla, Jeremy, Todd and Travis; three great-grandchildren, Callen, Rielyn, and Kinley Rapp. The family is honoring Pat's request that there be no service.
