Obituary of Wendy Sue Eickhoff

Wendy S. Eickhoff, age 50 of Plymouth, passed on Thursday, October 19th, 2017 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. A celebration of her life will take place at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest on Saturday October 28th starting at noon. Dress casual. Wendy Sue Dickinson was born on June 7th, 1967 in Iowa City, IA to David and Marvis (Okeson) Dickinson. She grew up in Austin, MN and attended Austin High School and Austin Community College (now Riverland) where she won the Junior college state championship in women’s singles tennis in 1987. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business in 1989. She was united in marriage to Joseph Eickhoff on December 4th, 1993 in Minneapolis. She was an active, athletic person her entire life. She continued to play tennis (many times practicing with the men’s team because her ground strokes were so fierce) as well as volleyball, softball and downhill skiing. She will be missed for her infectious laugh, her positive attitude towards life and her generous, giving nature. Wendy is survived by her husband Joe, her two children, Logan and Nicholas. Her parents, her sisters Shelley (Bruce) Johnson, Mary Griffiths, Nancy (Kendal) Norberg, and brother John Dickinson. Aunt Kay (Harry) Kuefler. Her Thom cousins and Smedberg cousins. Many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. Preceded in death by uncles Don Thom, Jerry Smedberg and aunt Jeanne Smedberg. Memorials
