Obituary of Dennis Wood

78, of Circle Pines MN died Sunday at Regions Hospital from complications related to Lung Cancer with his family at his side. Dennis grew up in rural South West Minnesota in the small town of Russell. He enlisted in the service and after receiving an honorable discharge and held a few different jobs before going to work for FMC where he retired after 34 years. Dennis loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending all their activities. He was a very generous man, putting the needs of others before his own. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Walter & Ann, brother Marvin and sister Melva. He is survived by his loving wife Verna of 58 years, daughter Kathi(Jeff), their son Brandon(Karyssa) and their three children, Adeline(4), Margaret(3) and Zayne(1); son Doug(Pam) and their children Dylan(19), Dalton(17) and Sophia(14); brother William (Sherlyn) of Marshall Minnesota; brother-in-law Harold Erks of New Brighton,MN and many nieces, nephews, and friends and family. Celebration of life will be on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at St. Mark Lutheran Church; 1 North Road; Circle Pines, MN. Service 2:00 PM with visitation at 1:00 and reception following.
