Obituary of Julianne Wallin

Julianne Wallin, formerly of Minot, ND, recently relocated to The Glenn in Hopkins MN, died October 22, 2017 at the age of 93. She retired from Minot State University where she was a professor of Humanities. Music was her passion. She was a teacher of voice and music, and won honorable mention at the National Council of the Metropolitan Opera. Hobbies included mosaic art, gardening, hiking, and skiing which she took up at 57. She volunteered for the Minot Area Council of the Arts, and the Minot Area Council for International Visitors and many other groups. As a 90 year old she was very proud of her volunteer work assisting the "younger generation" to rehabilitate joint replacements. She is survived by children Mary (Dante), Leif (Karen), and Nicholas (Korrie), 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and beloved canine companion, Rosie. Preceded in death by husband Ralph and one great grandchild. Per her wishes, there are no services. Memorials should be at the discretion of the donor's choice. A gathering of family and close friends will take place in the spring of 2018.
