Obituary of Marie Delores Slowinski Bowers

Marie Delores (Marion) Slowinski Bowers, age 95, of Superior, died Sunday October 22, 2017 at Villa Marina. She was born March 26, 1922 in Cloquet to Charles and Katherine Marion. Marie graduated from Denfeld High School in 1941. She married Chester Slowinski, August 7, 1943. After Chester's passing she later married Robert Bowers on September 26, 2003. During her lifetime she worked at Nide's Finance, Western National Bank and Garon Knitting Mills. Marie loved to go dancing, did some traveling and loved to knit and crochet in her day. She was also a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Chester Slowinski and Robert Bowers; son Kenneth Slowiski; grandson Kevin Armbruster and brothers; Richard Marion, Ed Marion and sister Elsie Seafolk. She is survived by daughter NancyReijo; son Robert Slowinski; daughter-in-law Cheryl Slowinski; grandchildren Julie Armbruster, Kent (Lisa) Armbruster and Kacey Slowinski (Amber); great grandchildren Kevin and Cole Armbruster, Dylan and Emmett Slowinski; step-son Robert Bowers (Sharon) of Florida, Noah(Tracy) Bowers; Zoe Bowers; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Villa Marina and St. Luke's Hospice for their care during her stay. A private service will be held for the family at a later date.
