Obituary of Gary J. Krisak

Gary J. Krisak (81) of Superior, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23rd at St. Mary's Hospital. He was surrounded by family and friends as he entered his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Gary is survived by his wife of 60 years, Katherine (Kitty) McKay, and their five children: Gary/Mike (Rita) Krisak, Tammy (Bill) Brandt, Terri (Kris) Sorensen, Jon Krisak and Teresa (Craig) Walter. He was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grand children. They were the joy of his life. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews. Gary was born to John and Palma Krisak on January 7, 1936. He is survived by his four siblings: Joan Nikstud, Marilyn Hobart, Roger/Butch (Kathy) Krisak and Jack (Jane) Krisak. Gary and his wife were actively involved at the Freshwater Vineyard Church in Superior Wisconsin for the past 10 years. Gary served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1957. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He made many fishing trips to Alaska in the past several years with his good friend Mike Delich. Mike was Gary's guardian angel on those trips. Gary was a member of the Wisconsin Laborers Union, Local 1050. He retired from Four Star Construction in Superior Wisconsin. He generously gave of his time and skills to build/repair homes for his family and friends. There will be a celebration of life on Friday, October 27th at Central Assembly of God Church located at 3000 Hammond Ave. in Superior, Wisconsin. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. with service to follow at 11:00. Honor Guard and reception will follow the service. The Krisak family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff of 6W Palliative Care Unit at St. Mary's Hospital.
