Marilyn Jean Lashyro
Marilyn "Jean" Lashyro, 84, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 26, 2017 at her home in Silver Bay, Minnesota surrounded by family. Jean was born to Matt and Frances Lott in Keewatin, MN, January 14, 1933, where she grew up and graduated. Marilyn "Jean" Lott married Edward "Lash" Lashyro on April 8, 1952, in Hibbing, Minnesota. Lash and Jean lived in Babbitt for one year prior to moving to Silver Bay in September 1955. Jean worked in the kitchen at the Campton School and later at the Mariner Motel. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the VFW Auxillary. Jean adored her grandchildren, loved her dogs, enjoyed the Casino, watching sports and playing Scrabble with her family and friend Gavin. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her sister Theresa Stensrud, brothers Matt, Roland and John. Jean is survived by one sister Corrine Solberg; three sons: Edward (Mary) of Silver Bay, Jeff (Theresa) of Crosby, MN, Gary (Nana) of Beaverton, OR; six grandchildren Shannon (Jason) Bryan, Christina (Mike) Patras, Codi (Chase) Warnecke, Katie Lashyro (Johnny Bohmann), Hannah and Emma Lashyro, nine great grandchildren and her dog, Missy. Visitation will be from 10 am until the 11 am Christian mass on Friday, November 3, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Silver Bay.
