Obituary of Jimmie Lee Williamson

On Thursday, August 16, 2018 Jimmie Lee Williamson was called home to rest. Jimmie Lee was born on May 23, 1936, to the union of Jim and Lelar (Funchess) Williamson in Magee, MS. Jimmie Lee was the youngest of twelve children. After graduating from High School Jimmie Lee joined the Army Services in 1954 and was discharged with honors. After serving in the military he married Lou Ann Madison and had six children and moved to Des Moines, IA where he worked at Firestone Agricultural Tire Company. Jimmie’s interest was playing pool, fishing, playing bingo and spending time with family. Jimmie Lee Williamson, age 82 was proceeded in death by his parents and brothers; Elijah, Walter, JD, GW, Quick, and Jeremiah, sisters; Chaney, Alice, Lovie, Hazel and Sally, Also, the love of his life and Mother of their six children Lou Ann Williamson. Jimmie is survived by his children Lee (Aleathia) Williamson, Teresa Williamson, Scottie (Teela) Williamson, Belinda Williamson, Tama (Curtis) Williamson-Jones and Jackie (Bradley) Thomas all from Minnesota and 18 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
