Obituary of Edward Hill

Edward Hill, age 81, of Duluth passed on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. Edward resided and raised his family in Castle Danger for over 40 years, where he farmed and raised chickens. He nick named many a child and enjoyed visiting the elderly and shut -in, as these were his main concerns in life. Edward was truly a gentle man who was well loved. Edward worked at Reserve Mining and retired from the Cliffs. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara; children, Wendy Norgren, Wayne (Eva) Hill, Amy (Troy) Brumley and Jennifer (Jon) Butkovich; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Gathering of family and friends from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. memorial service Sat. Nov. 11th in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN, 218-624-5200.
