Obituary of William Eugene Marshall

William Eugene Marshall, born September 1, 1955, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2017, after a valiant battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Amy Lee Marshall (nee Wasche), children William Junior (Shalana), Emily Jean Lee (Joel), Cheryl Ann Marshall, and Daniel Martin Marshall, grandchildren Daisy, Jasper, Gillian, Afton, Emrick and Judah, siblings Everett Manning (Margaret), Elizabeth Marshall, Cindy Bartsch (Duane), Sheila White (Brad) and Tami Toohey (Sean). Bill was preceded in death by his parents Alvira Hanson and Landy Marshall. Bill grew up on Coos Bay, Oregon, and moved to Minnesota in 1978 following his discharge from the U.S. Army, where he had been stationed in Germany. He lived in Spring Lake Park, moving to Andover for the final decades of his life. His careers included Pioneer Metal Finishing, independent truck driver, and Building and Grounds Maintenance at Anoka Hennepin Independent School District 11. Bill will be remembered as a wise and humble man who liked being out of the busy pace of the city. He enjoyed the simple life with pleasures such as his creative projects, fishing and bird watching. Bill was especially sensitive to others who needed assistance . All who knew him loved him. He will be greatly missed.
