Obituary of Shirley A Jepsen

JEPSEN (Klimpel), Shirley A., age 83, of Elk River, MN, passed away on November 7, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mervel Klimpel of Mankato, MN. She is survived by her loving husband, Norman Jepsen; children, Patricia Tyler (Todd Sanford), Michael Jepsen (Aylin); grandson, Andrew Tyler; granddaughters, Olivia and Myra Jepsen; brother, Robert Klimpel (Candy); nieces, Rachael and Melanie Klimpel; nephews, Jim Klimpel and Eric Klimpel. Shirley grew up in Mankato, and graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato, in 1956. She taught Business Education courses at St. James High School, St. James, MN. She married Norman Jepsen in 1957 and moved to the Twin Cities in 1958. She taught Business Education courses at Johnson High School, St. Paul, MN and also at Adult Education Dept. at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park. After retirement, both she and her husband spent many happy summers in their lake home near Crosby. Per her wishes, services are private.
