Obituary of Jourdan Wynette Lewis-Messer

Jourdan Wynette Lewis-Messer — beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend — was born on May 12, 1990, and passed away on November 8, 2017. Jourdan was preceded in death by great-grandparents Robert & Winette Vasey and James & Naomi Lewis, sister Naomi Tate Lewis, and grandfather Jim Lewis. She is survived by Lizbeth Lewis-Amundson, Jim Amundson, Drew Amundson (Adrian Eiken), Connie Lewis, Bob Vasey, best friends Roxanne & Alicia Schonsby, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jourdan was a graduate of Osseo High School and North Hennepin Community College. An accomplished member of band and choir, while in high school Jourdan had the opportunity to travel through many countries in Europe as a Minnesota Music Ambassador. She was a gardener, an animal lover & rescuer, a video game enthusiast, and an avid reader & music lover. In addition to being a loyal Cub employee for ten years, Jourdan was a writer, reviewer, and photographer for KondaKorea Music, covering concerts in Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, & New York. A sensitive and giving individual, Jourdan's legacy continues through the donation of her organs & tissue and through research Medtronic is doing in development of a new defibrillator. Memorials in Jourdan's name may be directed to Golden Valley Animal Humane Society or the American Heart Association. a Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.
