Obituary of Anne Theresa Ericksmoen

Anne Theresa Ericksmoen Anne Theresa Ericksmoen, 93, of Duluth, Minnesota died peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Viewcrest Health Center. Anne was born October 20, 1924 in Duluth to Jacob and Antonia Vukonich. She had been a lifelong resident of Gary, New Duluth until 2012. Anne was a graduate of Morgan Park HS and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Anne married Clifford Ericksmoen on August 3rd, 1946, the love of her life. During their 66 years, they enjoyed their life together raising a family in the two-story green- house. Anne was a homemaker who loved to be with her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and baker, making fried chicken, cookies, bars, potica and apple strudel until health issues made it difficult. Anne was known by all who would visit to have coffee and goodies ready to serve. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford; son, Wallace; brothers, William, Walter and George; sisters, Mary Vekich and "Sister" Alma Vukonich. Anne is survived by her children, Larry (Colleen) Ericksmoen of Sparta TN and Sharon (Dave) Johnson of Duluth; three grandchildren, Katie Hoglund, Kori (Andy) Shepard and Stephanie Ericksmoen; great- grandchildren, Jack, Zachary and Aubrey Hoglund, Ella and Briggs Shepard; several nieces and nephews. She left a close knit family that will miss her deeply. Anne's family would like to extend their heartfelt Thank You to the 2W staff at St. Luke's, the staff at Viewcrest Health Center and Edgewood Vista for their compassionate care of Anne. Visitation will be from 9 AM until the 10 AM service on Wed., Nov. 29th in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, followed by inurnment at Calvary Cemetery.
