Obituary of Trudie Jayne Jennings

Trudie Jayne Jennings age 91 of Duluth passed away at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Proctor on 11/11/17. Trudie was born on December 19, 1925 in Wausau, WI to Joseph and Marion Turski. Trudie lived in Chicago until the age of 15, then moved to International Falls where her father worked in the Boise Cascade Paper Mill. After high school Trudie moved back to Chicago and worked for the war efforts in a factory assembling arms during World War II. She then moved back to MN and married and raised 8 children. Trudie had a love for gardening, fishing, grouse hunting raising show dogs and traveling. She attended DBU and held numerous positions in the sales field including hearing aides, insurance and fundraising for the AmVets. She also worked as a CNA until her retirement. Trudie is survived by her 8 children, Frank (Barb) Buresh of Zim, MN; Phyllis (Pete) Nuthak of Sikeston, MO; John (Helga) Buresh of the Netherlands; Joe (Val) Buresh of Palmer, AK; Lisa (Bill) Polson of Carlton; Trudy (Dan) Beckwith of Duluth; Chuck (Debbie) McElderry of Silver Springs, NV; and Tammy (Dale) Larsen of Zimmerman, MN. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one infant son. A special thank you to Diamond Willow and St Croix Hospice for the end of life care they provided. Service will be held on Saturday, November 25 at the French River Lutheran Church, 5310 Ryan Rd. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM with a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
