Obituary of Jerry Asiala

58, of Oakdale, MN died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at his home. Jerry was born on March 13, 1959 in Hancock, Michigan to Onnie and Marie (Kuru) Asiala and was a 1977 graduate of Houghton High School. He received an associate degree from the Renton Vocational Technical Institute in Renton, WA and began his career as a Machinist in 1982. Jerry had a long and successful career as a CNC Machinist most recently working for JRM Machine Company for 28 years. He was likely the first one to get in to work each day as he was definitely an early bird and had many coworkers who he valued as close friends. Surviving are his children Jessica of Lake Elmo, MN and Bradley of Plymouth, MN and their mother Teri of Woodbury, MN. In addition he is survived by a sister Carol of Atlantic Mine, MI, his twin brother Terry (Patti) of Green Bay, WI and a brother Larry (Cindy) of Houghton, MI. He will be missed by many special nephews and nieces as well. Besides his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by brothers Robert and John. A memorial service will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 in the historic church at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Oakdale, MN. The family will greet visitors for an hour before the service. Internment will be in the Guardian Angels Cemetery Columbarium. A luncheon will follow the service and internment.
