Obituary of Ralph Tryon

Ralph "Ronald" Tryon, 79, died in his home Friday August 17th 2018. He was born to Ralph and Annette (Gunderson) Tryon in Duluth on September 30th, 1938. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. He was an honest man with high moral standards, a veteran of the US Army. He graduated from Duluth Central in 1957, became the Exalted Ruler of the Elk's club in 1979 and nominated Elk of the year. He coached youth basketball and was assistant Boy Scout Leader. He worked in the heating and plumbing industry throughout the Twin Ports area, and was an avid sports fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Carl and Marian Anderson, sons Rex and Roger Tryon, son-in-law Lonnie (Rebecca) Maul, brothers-in-law Dick and Gary Anderson, Michael Hanson, Lee Conner and Don Southworth, nephews Tim and Dan Conner, great nephew Travis Hester, and great grandson Preston Svoboda. He is survived by his wife Ruth of 59 years. His son Rodney, daughter Rebecca Maul, sisters Ruth (Ronald) Miller, Betty Conner, Brother-in-law Ron (Nancy) Anderson, sisters-in-law Joyce Southworth and Gail Hanson, 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 9 god-children, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation: 12 Noon - 1 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 25th at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard, 1325 North 45th Avenue East, Duluth. The family would like to thank all the friends, family and clergy for all their love and support throughout our lives.
