Jonathan Carl Grew, age 77, of Duluth, Minnesota passed away November 9th, 2022 at his home in Solway Township. Jon was born in Duluth, MN on January 8th, 1945 to Velma and Donald Grew. Jon attended Arnold Elementary, Washington Jr High, and Duluth Central High School. He worked construction as a machine operator and mechanic. He was known as Macgyver, fixer of all things and helper to anyone in need. Jon loved racing and was part of the Garfield Ave crew with his drag racing truck, Not A Van. He participated yearly in the Cruise for Cancer. Jon loved the outdoors and spent the month of May camping and fishing with friends and family at Fond du Lac campground. Jon also loved hiking, traveling, rock hounding, and spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, (Little) Jon Jr., brothers Gary and Jack, nephew Richard Wright, and in-laws; Mary Ann Grew, Shelly McDermott, Barbara Miller, and Devere Lambert. He is survived by daughters; Donna Grew and Kimberly (Jason) Schnepper, son Michael Jon Carl Grew (Kristen), sisters; Mary Lou (Paul) Grymala, Kathrine (Craig) Polling, and Jean Wright, sister-in-law, Mary Grew, grandchildren; Braden, Abigail, Aliyah, and Cole, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and good friends. Please join us for a Celebration of life gathering on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 1-3pm at Rice Lake City Hall (4107 W. Beyer Rd) and afterwards at The Other Place Bar and Grill (3930 E. Calvary Rd).
