Obituary of Jan Marker Alm

Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandma passed away October 31, 2022 with family by her side. Preceded in death by her parents, husband James Alm of 27 years and children Brian Alm and Sue Alm. Jan was born to Wesley and Ethel Marker on February 28, 1942. Jan has a variety of jobs over the years, she was a kind of “Jan” of all trades from cashiering to cleaning to fast food. She worked many years at the IGA and then retired from Cub Foods in 1997. She decided to open a daycare and help raise her granddaughter along with some very special families that she cared for their children, they were her pride and joy. Jan also enjoyed working  in her garden and spending time with friends walking or meeting them for coffee.

Jan is survived by her children Jeff and Lisa Bucklew (Jason Schwartz), Brad (Debbie) Alm. Siblings Conrad (Karen) Marker, Everett (Jeannette) Marker. Grandchildren Jerrika (Jake) Merritt, Noah, Micah, Jonah, Jacob, Monica, Amanda Alm, Michael Brew and 7 great-grand children. And several cousins and nieces and nephews.
