Obituary of Roger E. Bengtson

Roger E. Bengtson Age 73, of Blaine, Minnesota, died November 17, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 18, 1944 in New London, Minnesota, to Rudolph and Ellen Bengtson. He was preceded in death by brother Donald. He is survived by wife, June, sons Kevin (Jill), Matthew, and Aaron (Karina), and 2 grandchildren. Roger graduated from New London-Spicer High School in 1962. After graduation, he served 4 years with the US Air Force, with tours in Iran and Vietnam. He continued his service to veterans throughout his life as Otter Tail County service officer and regional manager for the State of MN Department of Veterans Affairs. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. A Celebration of Life reception will follow from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4343 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis.
