Obituary of Duane Paul Miner
On September 29, 2022, Duane Paul Miner, loving husband and father of three daughters, passed away at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn “Kay” Miner; his parents, Robert and Mae Miner; three sisters, Margery, Roberta, Shirley and two brothers, Amer, Arnold. He is survived by his wife, Karen; sister, Darlene (Jesse) and daughters, Loree (John), Jodi (Dave), Jamie (Jared); grandchildren, Nikolaus (Nicole), Jakob (Laura), Nathan, Kathryn and Madeleine; and five great-grandchildren. Duane was born on December 12, 1931 in Winnebago, MN. He joined the Navy during the Korean war serving as a Navy Corpsman and continued as a Radiology Technician at the University of MN for 41 years. He married Kay in 1960 and they had three daughters. After her tragic death, he married Karen and welcomed her daughters, Tami (Frank), Kristen, and three grandchildren into the family. Duane had a lifelong love of reading and literature, keeping his Kindle by his side even in his last days. Duane had the ability to fix anything. He had a great eye for color and design and was a talented woodworker who built beautiful furniture; he had a green thumb and grew stunning flowers and vegetables. His ashes were interred at Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis.
