Obituary of Karen Jo Treise

Treise, Karen Jo (Amundsen) Age 80, of Plymouth, MN passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2022. 

Preceded in death by mother Betty Henry, brother Steven Amundsen and husband Allen Treise. 

Survived by children Kristine Winkelman-Olson, Becky LW Coyle (Matt) and Paula Inman (Ron); sisters Marilyn Amundsen and Gretchen LaRossa (John); grandchildren Liane Olson, Abby and Joe Coyle, Rylee and Reagan Inman and nephew Christopher LaRossa, many friends and wonderful neighbors.

Born May 31,1942 and graduated from Hopkins High School in 1961. 

Karen was an avid cat lover, loved gardening and creating silk flower arrangements, and shopping. She enjoyed talking on the phone with friends and family and loved her coffee.  She spent many years working at Prudential.   In 1984 she moved to Las Vegas, NV working in the gaming industry where they made playing cards for the casinos along with other gaming equipment. Karen and Al moved back to Minnesota for their retirement, to be near family and old friends.

Karen opted not to have a formal funeral service, but instead, a private interment at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, in the family crypt, located in the historical chapel building, under the name of Naustdal, in the lower level.

Karen was an organ donor.  Karen will be remembered with love and lots of memories. Memorials preferred to the donor's favorite charity.
