Obituary of Marlys Rose Sherer

Marlys Rose Sherer, 70 of Grand Portage, MN passed away on October 4, 2022, in Duluth. She was born on August 6, 1952, in Grand Marais to Kenneth and Dorothy Sherer. She attended Cook County High School.

Marlys worked various places in Grand Portage and lived there her whole life. She loved going to the casino, playing Bingo, and watching the MN Vikings.

She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Dorothy, brothers Ronnie, Kenneth Jr., Robert, Myron, Lyle, and Stuart, sisters Delores, Sandra, Barbara, and Cheryl.

Marlys is survived by a brother Melvin and sisters Janis (Larry) Deschampe, Elizabeth (John) Simmons, Marene Myers (Peter Johnson), and Joan Johnson, many nieces, and nephews.

There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 22 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Grand Portage at 11:30 a.m. Father Steve Langenbrunner officiating with burial at Sunset Cemetery in Grand Portage.
