Obituary of Ruth Mae Doyle

Ruth (nee Flesch) Doyle, former resident of IL, TN, IN, FL, and recently St. Anthony, MN, died on Thanksgiving, Nov. 23, 2017, shortly after celebrating her 99th birthday. Ruth was born Nov. 8, 1918, in Chicago, IL, to Arthur and Amelia (nee Schwin) Flesch. Ruth was a life-long learner and gained experience in many hobby, craft, and pastimes, including playing the accordian, organ and kazoo, singing, millinery, sewing, knitting, painting, sculpture, and even tap-dancing. In the 60s, she and Joe ran Webb Lake Lodge, a resort in Hackensack, MN. Ruth spent her last years enjoying music and banana cream pie with her beloved daughter Marilyn, loving granddaughter Amy, and Kelley and the amazing staff of Pearl Garden in St. Anthony, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Doyle, and is survived by daughter Marilyn; son Arthur; grandchildren Amy McPartlin (Roseville, MN), Dave Doyle (Boston, MA), Kim Bartholomew (Tallahassee, FL), and Michelle Bailey (Gainesville, FL); and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Ryan, Sheri, Leah and Lily.
