Obituary of Kristine Lenore Lassonde

 

Kristine Lenore (Carter) Lassonde, of Lakeville, MN, passed away peacefully after a long battle with Cancer on October 4th, 2022.  

Preceded in death by Father Hank Carter, Betty Carter (Stepmother), Jay Benson (Stepfather), Roger Pfahl (Biological Father), Clellie Thompson (Biological Mother), Half Sister Lori (Rickert) Talafous and Half Brother Dan Rickert.  Survived by her husband Jim Lassonde, Sons Tyler Carter and Kyle Carter, Mother Marlys Benson, Brothers Wayne (Mary) Carter, Paul Carter, adopted sister Ingrid Freeman, biological half-siblings Mike Rickert, Heidi Rickert, Grandson Jayce Carter.  Many nephews, nieces, cousins, and wonderful friends.

Kristine was born December 11,1966 and adopted as a baby by Hank and Marlys Carter in 1967.  She found out about her biological parents through the DNA test 23andMe and found out about her biological siblings Heidi and Mike Rickert and her adopted sister Ingrid Freeman.  Kristine grew up in White Bear Lake MN, graduating from White Bear Lake High School. Kristine spent much of her career in the health insurance field. She enjoyed her profession in customer service and with hard work became a supervisor. She raised two kids as a single mom. As a young mom she met her longtime friends Patti Jo and DeRonn. Her favorite outings were trips that involved sandy beaches and water. She had an infectious giggle that always pulled you into her beautiful brown eyes.  

In 2011, she met the love of her life, Jim.  They were married on October 20, 2012 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, by friend and Pastor, Ben Blumer.  She loved spending time with her husband Jim and dog Lyla at home, going to Cleary Lake Dog Park, and on their many adventures up to the North Shore of Minnesota.  Kayaking on the water was her favorite pastime along with going to church, movies, plays, music, concerts, and outings at the Zoo. 

A celebration of Kristine’s life will be held at Northcross Lutheran Church, 19400 Ipava Ave, Lakeville, MN 55044, on October 14th, 2022 at 11 AM. Visitation at 10AM.
