Obituary of Dorothy Ruth Hopkins

Dorothy Ruth (Bean) (DuBois) Hopkins

passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022, one day before her 97th birthday.

Dorothy grew up in Cedar, Minnesota and raised her family – children, Mark DuBois (Kathy), Stephen DuBois (Brenda), Daniel DuBois (Laura), Raymond DuBois (Olena), and Carrie DuBois (Mark) – in Minneapolis and Brooklyn Center. Dorothy was the hard-working, tender-hearted center of her family, and they cherished every minute they had with her.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Audrey (Lee) and Donald Bean, sister, Lorraine (Bean) Lindbloom, brother, Daniel Bean, husband, David Hopkins, her children’s father, Maurice DuBois, and grandson, Weston DuBois.

She is survived by her children, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, her sister, Irene (Bean) Warner, and many other extended family members and friends.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Dorothy’s life at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, Brooklyn Park Chapel, on Saturday, October 15 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, Flowers may be sent to the CSM Brooklyn Park Chapel.
