Obituary of Elizabeth Melander

Elizabeth A. Melander 61 of Duluth, Mn passed away September 15th, 2022 with her family by her side. Liz was born on January 20th, 1961 to Ronald and Shirley Nylund.

She graduated from Proctor high school in 1979.

She was a fabulous caregiver who loved her family and friends. She worked for her grandmother at her boarding home, Nopeming, Aftenro, and spent the last 20 years devoting her time caring for her residents at Edgewood.

She is preceded in death by her father Ronald, brother Kevin, Maternal and Paternal grandparents.

She is survived by: mother Shirley, Brothers Tom and Scott; sisters Stacie (Brian) and Melissa; son Matt (Annie); daughters Kayla (Sean) and Jessica (Jeremy); grandchildren Logan, Destiny, Alivia, Victoria, Faith, Lucas Sean, Lukas Matthew, Jax, Jayleigh and Jayce; great grand child Nyla and another great granddaughter due in March 2023, Mark Melander and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Edgewood, Caring Edge, and Legacy medical for the phenomenal care and love they gave Liz.

There will be a celebration of life on Sunday, October 16th from 2pm-6pm at the Buffalo House Junction.
