Obituary of Richard I. Hauck
Richard Iverslie Hauck
February 8, 1931 to November 25, 2017
Richard Iverslie Hauck, 86, of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, passed away at home, Saturday, November 25, 2017. Born in St. Cloud, MN to Harry Sr. and Eleanor (Iverslie) Hauck, he was a humble and modest man, rich in character, thoughtfulness, and selflessness. He loved and served his country in the Army, stationed in Germany in 1952 and 1953, and spent his life sharing his gratitude for all who made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our great country’s freedom.
Dick gave much of his professional career to the State of Minnesota, retiring in 1993 as a supervisor with the State Building Codes Division. His family knew him much better as craftsman, artist, photographer, outdoorsman, U.S. historian, mentor, and an expert-advisor on all matters to all who called on him. He was a family-man of the greatest sense; a true family patriarch who will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife Arlene (Sacre) Hauck, his brother Harry Hauck Jr., three sons and their wives, Paul and Kimmlie Hauck, Todd and Dede Hauck, Dan and Nicole Hauck, nine grandchildren, Megan, Aaron, Nichole, Mickenzie, Christopher, Robert, Alexis, Sydney, Madison, and one great-granddaughter, Felicity.
The family will be holding a private ceremony to honor and celebrate Richard’s life and endless accomplishments.
