Obituary of Ronald Julian Kriesel

Ron passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on September 26th, 2022.  He will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on November 28th at 1:30 PM.  Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Married at age 19 to Luann Welander for 18 years.  He was a plumber by trade.  He honorably served in the US Navy and was very proud of his service to our great Country and to support other Veterans as well. 

Beloved husband to Geri for 24 years.  A wonderful father and grandfather.  He was the most loyal friend you could ever have with an easy going demeanor and a sense of humor to keep everyone amused.  He was a member of the ski patrol at Trollhaugen ski area for decades.  An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish, golf, ski, bike, and dance.

Preceded in death by his father Edward Kriesel and mother Rose Kriesel.  His sisters Eleanor Coghill and Evelyn Stomberg.  And many lifelong friends.  Survived by wife Geri, daughter Melinda Kurowski (Michael), son David “Steve” Kriesel (Susan), grandson Nicholas Kriesel (Kim), great granddaughter Hailey Luann Kriesel.  Step children Laura Alm (Lonnie Smieja), Robert Worth, step grandchildren Autumn Fisher (Adam), Anthony Alm (Bree), Angeline Bakkee and step great grandchildren Aiden, Ashton, Adalyn, Asher, Aleana, Blake.

Ron was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed by many!
