Kathleen Pavlowich

Obituary of Kathleen “Kathy” Pavlowich

Kathleen "Kathy" (Sullivan) Pavlowich, died Saturday, November 25, 2017 peacefully at the Solvay Hospice House surrounded by family. Kathy was born on May 18, 1953, to Ruth & Joseph Sullivan in Virginia, MN. She married Mark Pavlowich in 1975. They moved to the Proctor area when their children Amber and Nathan were young and began making friends around the community. Kathy retired from St Louis County in 2016 after helping so many families as a financial worker. Kathy was a creative, funny and fiercely devoted woman. She had so much energy and could do anything from sewing, cooking, decorating, and finding fun projects for the grandkids to make each Christmas. She made memories with everyone who knew her: the volleyball team who traveled to Hawaii to play in the sand, the parents who supported Proctor athletics (both her son and grandsons), and her many work friends who admired her strong work ethic and laughed with her at the absurdities of life. Mostly Kathy loved her family. Mark was the love of her life; she took care of him for over 42 years. She was so proud of her daughter Amber (TJ Peterson) and son Nathan (Missy). She adored her beautiful grandkids Abby, Anthony & Adam Peterson and Conner & Carson Pavlowich, which was shown by her continued attendance at school plays and all activities for all the grandkids. Kathy was a bright spot in her extended family too. Who will forget Kathy's laughter and goofy sense of humor? She will be greatly missed. Kathy and Mark truly appreciate all who helped her through her ovarian cancer journey of treatments, surgeries, and final care. Thank you all for your love and support. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10 am at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN with a visitation one hour prior.
