Obituary of Russell Edward Lausen

Lausen, Russell Edward, age 80 of Bloomington, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by loved ones on September 18, 2022. Preceded in death by mother, Gertrude: siblings Tom, Butch, Marge, Jim, Jack. Survived by wife Bonnie, daughters Wendy Peterson, Angie Hauge (Kevin), Stephanie Soschnik (Pat), 8 grand kids, 2 great grand daughters, brother Tip and many relatives and friends.

Russ spent 58 years with his best friend and wife Bonnie. He served in the Army stationed in Germany. Russ was a long time active member of the Bloomington Knights of Columbus and volunteered his time at many local charities. His kids and grandkids were his pride and joy. He enjoyed playing cards and games with family and friends. He never left the house without a joke in his pocket. His generous spirit and positive attitude was an inspiration to all who knew him. Russ was simply BEYOND SUPER and will truly be missed by all.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday, September 23 at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 9401 Nesbitt Ave S Bloomington. Visitation 9:30-11:00 AM prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Bloomington Knights of Columbus.
