Obituary of Edward D. Schlueter

Edward D. Schlueter was born on Oct. 28, 1937 and died August 31st, 2022. He passed at his home in Florida, surround by loved ones and his two dogs.

Ed was a beloved teacher of music in Jacksonville, New Mexico, South Dakota and retired after 37 years at Two Rivers High School in the Twin Cities. He founded the Mississippi Valley Orchestra in 1976, where he conducted until 2011. MVO continues providing free concerts of orchestral music in the Twin Cities to this day.

Ed was down to earth, with a sense of class and an even greater sense of humor. He had a life long love of the Arts, especially music. He genuinely believed in everyone he met and strived to positively impact their lives in some way. He is and will forever be, deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 25th, 1:00 pm at Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina MN 55435. Visitation starting at 12 noon. A reception will follow the service.
