Obituary of Gail Ann Rosenbaum

Gail Ann Rosenbaum (Anderson) was a very caring mother, sister, and friend who left us too soon on August 30th, 2022, after her courageous battle with cancer. She was blessed to have been surrounded by those who loved her best in her final days. They will continue to celebrate her legacy by living their lives to the fullest, which was one of her wishes.

Gail was born in Cloquet, Minnesota, spending her early years living with her mother Julie and grandparents, Herb and Ragnhild (Rags), in Scanlon, Minnesota. Moving to Superior, Wisconsin, when Gail was in elementary school, she graduated from Superior High School and went on to Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. She ended her professional career at the University of Minnesota, retiring with 35 years of service. Faculty and students alike became friends with her and were drawn in by her kindness and witty sense of humor.

Gail was an amazing woman known for having a positive attitude, contagious laugh, and a generous nature. Those closest to her knew her to be thoughtful, kind, loving and so much more. She adored pets her entire life and enjoyed taking her latest rescue rascals, Chloe and Lacey, to the dog park. Gail loved music, dancing, camping, but mostly spending quality time with family and friends. Many memories were made during birthday and holiday celebrations which always included playing music and games.

Gail will always be remembered and loved by those surviving her: her son Aaron, her siblings, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many, many lifelong friends. We take comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her son Cody, her parents, grandparents, and other family and friends that went before her.

A private gathering to celebrate Gail's life has been planned for a future date.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Safe Hands Animal Rescue or the animal rescue of your choice in her memory.
