Obituary of Barbara Jean Henkemeyer

Barbara Henkemeyer passed away July 28, 2022. Barbara retired from Donaldson Company in Bloomington where she had worked many years. While Barbara lived in Crosscroft she was very active with community groups and enjoyed all her friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Minnesota Zoo. She loved her home in Apple Valley and all the decorating that she was able to do. She went to 2 Super Bowl Championships - Vikings lost both. She met her husband at a football celebration with friends. She enjoyed a trip to Hawaii with friends Arnie and Barb and going on vacation to Arizona. She was proud of being a snow queen at St. Cloud Tech and Den Mother for Gril Scouts. During retirement she went on two cruises: Alaska and Caribbean. She was on the swim and diving team in high school. She enjoyed playing golf in both Ladies league and Couples' league. For the last several years, Barbara was first at Ebenezer Memory Care Center and then was moved to the Minnesota Veterans Home where she had been for the last six years. She will be missed by her family and friends. She was survived by loving husband, Roger, children, Tom, Jim (Stacy), Ed (Joy), and Pam, grandchildren, Sara and Billie Rae.
