Obituary of Roberta Sorensen

 

Roberta “Robbi” Sorensen, 64, passed away in the early morning hours of August 17th, 2022, after her courageous battle with Grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme. She was surrounded by and wrapped in the love of her family.

Robbi was born on August 31st, 1957, to John “Jack” C. Brockman and Mary Kay Bret (Stubben). She graduated from North High School in Sioux City, IA. Robbi was incredibly dedicated and hardworking, working as a Financial Advisor and later, a Supply Chain Analyst. However, Robbi’s passion and love was the work that she did in the technology department at Evergreen Park Elementary School. 

Robbi is survived by her husband, Skip. Her parents, John (Nancy Scarpace) Brockman and Kay Bret. Her sisters, Kathe (Bill & Ben) Lyons, and Jacqueline Davitt. Her daughters, Ashley (Tim) Conner, Delani (Drew) Von Spreecken, and Elisabeth “Betsy” (Jeremy Carrasco) Sorensen. She is also survived by the lights of her life, her granddaughters, Harper and Ellie Conner, her nieces, Tiffany (Cameron) Straub and Tori Davitt, and her beloved Collie, Jasper, along with her grandpups, Griffin, Ernie, Ginger, and Daphne. 

A memorial will be held at First Memorial Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 27th at 2:00pm. Coffee and light refreshments to follow.

Her family invites you to join them at 6:00pm that evening at the Lookout Bar and Grill to celebrate and reminisce about her incredible life.
