Raymond Kirn

Obituary of Raymond Kirn

Raymond “Scott” Kirn, 58, of Rogers, Minnesota passed away peacefully on July 15, 2022, after a short illness.

Scott was born in Kingman, Arizona on August 5, 1963.  He was the oldest of the three brothers. He was raised, loved and supported by his great grandparents, Opal and Homer Dollarhide. He graduated in 1981 and pursued his education at DeVry University while also achieving his multiple securities licenses. Majority of his career he worked in the financial services industry as a compliance officer for Prudential and most recently, Cetera Financial.  He was married to the love of his life, Ann Marie Kirn, on April 11, 1992.  They lived in Arizona and shortly after they married moved to Minnesota in August of 1992.

Scott enjoyed listening to music on his amazing stereo and had a vast home curated library where he read anything from mathematics to collector books.  Scott was as intelligent as he was kind. He would do anything for a stranger or a close friend. Everyone who met Scott enjoyed his quick wit and was a recipient of his generosity. You could always count on Scott to have a cold beer ready on any occasion and he was never to be trusted to pour you a drink! Scott’s love for his wife Ann of 30 years was apparent to his family and friends. Ann was his biggest supporter and was there for him until the end. Ann and Scott enjoyed spending time with friends, going out to dinner, having something on the grill, spending time at the Tollefson lake place (where Scott definitely loved the indoors more than outdoors) sitting pool side at the Jones’s, or traveling to Mexico, Florida, Maui or the North Shore.

Scott is survived by his wife, Ann, and their fur babies, Hugo, Allie, Chi, along with his brother Pat (Sharon) Kirn and their children Robbie (Alissa) and Garret Kirn, Brother Eric (Tomi) and their children Tiffany (Josh) Miller and Nicholas Kirn, Sister-in-Law Angie (Curtis) Hansford and their children, Taylor and Cody and Mother-in-Law, Linda Arant. He also had a great niece and nephews, his god children, and many close friends which he loved so very much.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday September 13th at the Rogers Event Center from 4-7 pm.  The Rogers Event Center is located at 12716 Main Street, Rogers MN 55374  21st Century Bank Event Center — City of Rogers, MN (rogersmn.gov).
