Obituary of Suzanne Marie Hedstrom

Hedstrom, Suzanne Marie. (née Jackson)

Of Brooklyn Park. Passed away August 5, 2022, at the age of 80. She is preceded in death by parents Emery and Thelma Jackson and brother Thomas Jackson.

Her family is heartbroken over the loss of our matriarch. She is survived by Gary, her husband of 59 years and her daughters Julie (Hedstrom) Tschumper of Cambridge, MN and Joni (Brett) Hedstrom Plueger of Phoenix, AZ. Grandchildren Jamie (Jeremiah) (Monk) Gillesby, Melissa Tschumper, Madison (Michael) (Tschumper) Becker, Brenna Knutson, Carter and Bryson Plueger. There are 5 great-grandchildren.

Suzanne greatly impacted so many lives throughout her years. She ran in the first ever “National Women’s Marathon” in 1977, and was a member of the MDRA running club for over 30 years. She was also a member of the St. Alphonsus (Brooklyn Center) Contemporary Choir for 25 years.

Elvis remained her second king, just behind her husband Gary, and she was a devoted Twins fan. She was a truly unique woman, comfortable in either Running Shoes or stilettos. Absolutely one in a million.

A Rememberance of her Life  will be held at Edinburgh Golf Course on September 11, 2022, from 2:00-5:00 pm.
