Obituary of Toney Lee Atlas

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend Toney Lee Atlas.

Toney passed suddenly on August 1, 2022, of cardiac arrest. Toney, as many of you may know, was a very giving, loving, humorous, and nurturing man. He loved his family and close friends dearly! He was a man of God, an innovator beyond-a handyman, an engineer, and multi-talented music man.

Toney loved fishing and hunting. Toney also being a lover of all music played the Saxophone, Piano, and Acoustic Base. Toney was talented musician who attended McPhail School of Music. 

Toney is proceeded in death by; his father Preston Hawkins Atlas, mother, Bessie Irene Atlas, sister Culese Cambell and granddaughter Kamora Rochelle Young.

He is survived by his sons; Jamar, and Tymon and his daughter Mosylean. Toney was adored by his 5 sisters; Rose, Barbra Ann, Linda, Ava, and Betty, and 1 Brother Frank. Graciously loved by 12 grandchildren, Nieces/ Nephew and a large host of other Cousins and Family. 

Toney’s celebration of life will be held on August 28th, 2022 at 5 p.m. at Columbia Park, 800 Columbia Parkway, Minneapolis MN 55418.
